Alabama Crimson Tide champion Jones Harris Smith signature shirt
Alabama Crimson Tide champion Jones Harris Smith signature shirt, I got Aurelion Sol from an upgraded champion shard, and I told all my friends that I was going to main him as a joke. The reason being was that I mained Irelia top at the time, so maining someone like Aurelion Sol would be an extremely weird and crazy switch. Most of my LoL friends, including myself, thought that he’s just a boring champion that kills inefficiently, has an awkward playstyle, and gets countered easily. Well… I ended up instantly falling in love with the champion in the first game I played him. I love his concept, his champion design, everything about him. Who knew that killing people by booping them slowly would be so satisfying. I love that I can just shove in mid lane over and over again and recall while losing only 1–3 minions. I love being able to secure a double kill bot lane at only level 3. I love instabursting enemy carries by surprise late game with my stun hextech ult combo. I love that satisfying feeling when you killed someone by booping them to death slowly. I love getting the upgraded homeguards from baron then launching a giant star down mid stunning everyone on the enemy team and winning the game. Although I do admit that in the way he was designed, he is very easily countered. But eventually I was able to learn how to position better and deal with counters. He’s very different from other champions. His playstyle isn’t all flashy and playmakey like other mid laners, yet he’s one of the hardest champions to master. One of the things that I got really good at after playing over a hundred games with him, is clicking back and forth repeatedly….A LOT. His strength lies in his roaming ability. If you’re playing Aurelion Sol to his fullest potential, you have huge presence over the entire map. It’s such a satisfying feeling when you know that you were able to snowball every game, and that you ganked even more than your jungler. So yeah, Aurelion Sol is great. Really underrated in my opinion. Very strong if you’re good at him.

Just as Cus D’Amato never intended for Patterson to face Rocky, who would have ground him down and out, equally, Cus never Alabama Crimson Tide champion Jones Harris Smith signature shirt Patterson to fight in a box-off or face tough heavyweight Bob Baker. See Mike Stanton’s wonderful book “Unbeaten: Rocky Marciano’s Fight for Perfection in a Crooked World” for the behind the scenes machinations and politicking of D’Amato to get Patterson the title without risking a Marciano fight, or any of the risks associated with facing Baker in a tournament. In fact, Patterson never faced Baker, ever. Patterson had not fought regularly as a heavyweight before Marciano retired. (2 of his last five fights before fighting Moore for the vacant title were against light heavyweights; one was against a middleweight!) Of his fifteen fights since he lost to Joey Maxim, up until he faced Tommy Jackson at heavyweight, Patterson faced 8 career middleweights, 4 career light heavyweights, and 2 heavyweights, one of whom had a 9–41–2 record. Moreover, up until his heavyweight title fight, Patterson kept his mandatory slot as the #1 light heavyweight contender! Yet on the basis of this, Cus had enough backroom pull to get Patterson re-ranked at the last minute as a heavyweight – he had fought 3 of them!- and given a title shot.
Best, Alabama Crimson Tide champion Jones Harris Smith signature shirt
Alabama Crimson Tide champion Jones Harris Smith signature shirt, in a fine display of back room politics, had gotten Patterson to the number one ranking as a light heavyweight, (though again, never ranked as a heavyweight). When the back room powers selected Archie Moore, the light heavyweight champ, to fight for the vacant heavyweight title, Cus D’Amato managed to get his light heavyweight contender, Patterson, designated as his opponent. Though supposedly there was a box-off, Patterson was allowed to fight hand-picked Tommy Jackson – the only heavyweight contender he ever faced prior to being allowed to fight for the title – and #2 Bob Baker got left out altogether. Patterson was picked to fight for the title although Patterson had never fought regularly as a heavyweight and had never been ranked as a heavyweight! Again, the only heavyweight contender Patterson had fought was carefully selected by D’Amato. #3 Tommy Jackson was a small heavyweight, a fine boxer, but with no power. Patterson fought his first ranked heavyweight contender two months after Rocky retired, (still unranked himself as a heavyweight contender) and after winning a very close split decision, was somehow selected by the commission to fight Moore for the heavyweight title! The number two contender, Bob Baker, was by-passed completely. Patterson admitted in his book “Victory Over Myself,” that D’Amato’s plan was for them to wait till Marciano retired, then fight for the vacant title, which they did against Archie Moore. Floyd said they had absolutely no intention of ever facing Rocky, or participating in a tournament or box-off.
