Seriously, in this country there is Dorothy in the streets blanche in the sheets shirt that an honest adult with even mediocre work ethic should be stuck working a minimum wage job permanently. Hell my first job in high school as a bus boy in a restaurant paid me $10/hr (markedly above minimum wage) and I got tipped out by servers. Stayed at the restaurant five years through high school and college and I eventually went to serving then being lead bartender (added responsibility of doing weekly inventory/stocking/ordering of bar things) and making $20/hr + tips. And I was a freaking 21 year old partying my ass off in college who was hung over half the time. When I see 30 year old grown ass adults saying they can’t live off minimum wage and claim they can’t get a better paying jobs for XYZ reason, I can only assume they have no work ethic. Show up late, don’t do all their responsibilities and have others pick up slack, and are just rude people that turn off employees/coworkers.

Yup. This exactly. That’s why they are Dorothy in the streets blanche in the sheets shirt. They literally move the markets however they want it to. They can easily drop 5 million shares on a ticker, stock price goes up, the retail investor will see it in the news and follow and buy in. Ticker goes up more, and the MM sells off taking everything the retail investor put in plus their original 5 million shares while the retail investors holds the bag. They’ve been doing this since the invention of the stock market. Nothing new. We the retail investor just have to eat the middle part of the sugar cane, don’t try to buy in at the lowest dip or sell at the highest peak because it’s impossible to time the market and you will either end up being too late to buy in while the price soars or the price will tank overnight if you just wanna wait for it to go up juuuuuuust a little higher. Eat the middle and you’ll be fine. Don’t be greedy. Learned my lesson. $50,000 unrealized gains all gone over the weekend from GME, AMC, NOK.
