Hi, as I understand it right now we have three possible solutions. Either we wait and If you can read this the bitch got her own bike shirt, we develop a vaccine or we eliminate the virus by lockdown/no transmission. In the Netherlands we currently have a law that states you have to keep 1.5 meters distance from other people. It seems this has slowed the spread to such a speed that our intensive care can handle the load. This would mean however that it takes more than 2 years? (no source) to gain herd immunity. Which would in turn cripple the country if we have to keep this 1.5 meters law for another two years. The other option is developing a cure/vaccine but according to most experts this is going to take more than 1 year still and that’s assuming that the virus does not mutate. This would also cripple the country.

I think the distance, the use of masks outside or not allowing activities for a big group of people will be on for If you can read this the bitch got her own bike shirt. All depends in how well (or bad) we could manage the situation in the future. If you reduce the cases overall, build a system to track the new positives quick, isolate them fast and avoid another massive wave, you could at least manage the situation somehow. If not, perhaps you will have to close countries again and this would be even worst than now, because resources are limited.
