I can commend the occasional funny ad for it’s creativity and those are fine and good (I still won’t buy Mama Bear heart shirt product but it’s nice they put in real effort), but when it’s just a constant barrage of fucking LOUD boring ass bright, burn my eyes out white commercials that aren’t even good? There’s a kind of personal hatred I have for it all. It feels hostile. Like fuck off. I’ve literally stopped shopping at most chain stores because of how overwhelming and uncomfortable it is. The “buy buy buy” pressure mixed with the copious amounts of people, bright colors, florescent lights, and maze like structure, really fucking awful on the ole’ autism. It’s nice that I can literally choose to not do this, like it’s pretty freeing when you realize how much control you have over it sometimes even though advertisers pretend you don’t. I can install a free adblocker and go buy like 8 massive pomegranates for 3$ at my local produce stand and feel kind of okay for a little while.I’m honestly half convinced the whole over-advertising thing and purposely making grocery stores uncomfortable and overstimulating environments is a plot to make people grow their own food, shop local, and buy from smaller brands. It’s like herding cattle, you make it harder and harder to do those things and people just… Naturally stop doing them for a better alternative.

THIS. Ads are everywhere, it creeps me out. I can’t watch videos on youtube Mama Bear heart shirtgetting double ads, when I go have a look on my instagram feed there’s ads too. Recently I was talking about some home furniture with my mother and guess what? Now I’m getting ads for tables, chairs, inflatable pools and kitchen gadgets. It’s getting on my nerves tbh. Using my phone has become very, very annoying.I don’t understand where companies and social media want to get bombarding people with so many ads. It’s abusive and I’m pretty sure it does more harm than good to their reputations. I don’t feel like buying, downloading or visiting whatever shit they’re promoting
