And I (mostly) only read non-fiction because I always felt like I was having to catch up Also, I generally don’t like going to class since I generally don’t get much out of it (I have ADD), so I often skipped class and read all these interesting books while I was absent from class. When I didn’t skip class and zoned out during lecture, I’d often just read books during class. That being said, the time I spent on books is largely uneven. Sometimes, I can stare at a few pages, but then finish the rest of the book in the fraction of time it originally took. It’s hard to explain this, but I’ll give a quote from a wonderful book I read about ADD (it’s called Driven by Distraction).

Now, above my desk there is a small [white] shelf with exposed sides, about an inch thick. The white space was bothering me more than my Geography books were apparently, so I decided to cover them. at the end of 5 mins, half of the 2m long side was covered with multi colored post-its with my favorite song quotes on them. Another thing you should know is that every day I go out to play basketball with about 7 others, but I had told them not to call me out to play those 2 weeks on account of my exams. When I heard the doorbell ring, I told my grandmother to please tell my friends that I wouldn’t be coming out.

The October 43 Years Old Since 1979 43rd Birthday Gifts Tie Dye T Shirt tee of literary texts, I’m sure, can be done in a more modern or interactive way, but producing such long essays is a prerequisite in passing our final exams (Bacalaureat) so teachers are also kind of forced to force us to write them. For people whose first language is not Romanian, however, these long, long texts are almost exactly useless to learn the language. Whenever somebody mentions “teach Romanian as a foreign language”, that strikes a nerve, with a typical answer being “it is not a foreign language, it is your national language, and you shall learn it whether you like it or not” – I mean, I guess “second language” is a nicer term, and maybe we could introduce it, but whatever you want to call a language that you start learning at 7 rather than at birth, that is Romanian to us.

I’m 100% on board with your ideas, I love it I think the poster above you bringing up the fae folk is a perfect example of what you’re talking about, too. Like if big box stores just started shoving those porcelain fairy figurines (but repainted to look all goth/Halloween-y) on the October 43 Years Old Since 1979 43rd Birthday Gifts Tie Dye T Shirt tees, it’d be the same as these gnomes: disgusting. Revolting. Get it out of my face & don’t ever fucking talk to me again lmao. But if they took the time & effort to create meaningful fae folk-themed Halloween decor??? Rotting lawn mushroom circles fitted with horrifying dancing demon-fairies beckoning you closer so they can steal your soul?? I’d be all over that shit like butter on popcorn.
