They whispered to her you can’t withstand the storm she whispered back I am the storm shirt
The problem is a long term one. Obviously Biden is better for our country in the They whispered to her you can’t withstand the storm she whispered back I am the storm shirt. Long term? That could be debated. Does electing a right leaning centrist do anything to actually stop the bleeding or does it just delay it? Does it temporarily stop the needle from going farther right, or does it help to actively drag it back to the left? Does Biden do more to help the progressive movement by being a Democrat, or does it hurt it by making it seem as if right wing politics are all that is -allowed- in this country? Especially when he refuses to adopt any major policies from his leftist competition as an olive branch. In this regard it seems more like conservative ideology has truly taken over so that we are forced to choose between an old school Republican who at least believes government should exist and function, versus the new Republican who wants to complete the takeover and keep pushing the country right.

Best They whispered to her you can’t withstand the storm she whispered back I am the storm shirt
Obviously Republicans have been “winning” for some time now, and every time we successfully elect a moderate Democrat, the They whispered to her you can’t withstand the storm she whispered back I am the storm shirt and the country seems to shift toward the right. Every successful Democratic policy is contingent on Republican support in the name of bipartisanship, and they get this by conceding certain aspects of their bills, EVEN WHEN THOSE CONCESSIONS TORPEDO THE BILL. Every successful Republican policy comes on the back of concessions from Democrats who give in and compromise and cross party lines to oppose fellow Democratic legislation. ACA and public option anyone? Every Democratic compromise is a success for the Republican party. There are no good faith Republicans anymore who will cross party lines to support major legislation. Maybe a few here and there who might cross to help with a pet project to try to play to their voters, but no major bipartisanship has happened except by Democrats conceding, in quite some time. If I’m wrong, I’d be happy to find out, but I just haven’t seen it. Voting records are obviously telling, and give us the illusion of “the parties are different”, but what does it actually matter that they vote differently when it doesn’t make a difference, and vote the same when they shouldn’t (from a citizen standpoint)?
