I’ve been with my fiance for 3.5 years, and knew him years before that. He is my heart, and I love him with all of my Vintage Father’s day Promoted to Dad est T-Shirt . He’s not like anyone I’ve ever met, and suspecting that he might be high functioning autistic doesn’t change how I feel about, or see him. Really it presents an opportunity for me to adjust how I react to some things, and helps me to better understand the ways he reacts (or doesn’t react). I don’t know if I should approach the subject with him though, or how I’d even go about doing that. I don’t know if it would help him, or just serve to hurt him.

It never occurred to me that he was, until yesterday. I’ve never read about autism, and knew nothing about it until I tried asking Dr. Google about this Vintage Father’s day Promoted to Dad est T-Shirt / finger flicking / stretching thing he does whenever he’s stressed out or thinking hard. He’s totally unaware that he’s doing it. Now I think it’s stemming (My mom co signed on a new truck for him yesterday, and he started doing it while we were signing. She mentioned it to me afterwards and asked if he does it often. Which he totally does). In looking over the symptoms for asbergers, a lot of his behaviors fit He’s incredibly smart, very detail oriented, very habitual, gets really anxious when his routine is changed, and gets very into whatever he’s into. He knows everything about fire arms, for example, and is content to watch YouTube videos about them obsessively until 2 am. He can rattle off random facts and statistics about them like he’s reading from a manual, and gets very excited when he gets to talk about them – he wont let who ever he’s talking to get a word in, and will babble at them happily (there is nothing wrong with this, I love that hes like this, I’m just pointing out some things. I wouldn’t change him for the world).
