Shad Khan is running the Stan Kroenke strategy to a T. It’s so Zag Spring Calendar Shirt. The only minor difference I see is that I actually think he’ll try and do 4 and 4 games in each city for awhile. He does not care about putting a winning product on the field right now. He needs to make sure he can keep showing bad financial figures until he gets his end result. The NFL is turning into an NBA type league. Fans are national and you don’t need local crazies/ticket holders to make money. It’s why the Chargers won’t leave LA. They’ll still get more eyeballs playing in at home in front of away fan transplants with 1/10 of the percent of local viewership as a team in Jacksonville. It’s such an easy business-case to make for why Kroenke, Spanos, David, and now Khan are doing this.

It’s all smoke and mirrors. It doesn’t actually have to Zag Spring Calendar Shirt. He’ll show a couple years in a row of bad numbers. Attendance will go down, season tix will go down, tv ratings will go down. He’ll “pour money” into the team. Overpay bad coaches (Jeff fisher anyone?) and front office with name recognition. Bad contracts and bad drafts. The team will continue to get worse. He’ll tell the media he’s investing by showing all the big name contracts he gives out for splashy head coaches and gm’s that actually aren’t good. He’ll complain that the fans aren’t rewarding that investment. He’ll then extrapolate the bad stretch of numbers to show why Jacksonville is the worst market in the league. Something like “if attendance and tv ratings continue on this trend, we’ll be bottom of the league in X years.” It won’t have mattered that he tanked the market to show those numbers. He’ll claim cities like Green Bay and Pittsburgh will still support their teams even in trying times. It’ll be a logical fallacy. Everyone will know it’s fallacy. The nfl will then side with khan and he’ll move the team to London.
