I grew up hating the Lakers, hating the Yankees, and thus hating the Patriots. I hated teams that were perennial powerhouses. I was born in 90, and grew up always seeing these teams win, or constantly being in the finals/championships. I have no reason to hate them, but I always found myself cheering for the other team. I had no reason to, but I cheered for the Diamondbacks. I had no reason to, but I cheered for the Pistons. Was happy when Peyton finally beat Brady. The Patriots especially stuck. In 07, I was ecstatic to see them lose. I couldn’t give a fuck about the Giants, but my 16 year old self was marking out to see the Pats lose. But these last two Super Bowls changed me. After getting bounced by Seattle and having to watch them face “the fucking Patriots, as I thought at the time” I was torn. By the end, I was alright with New England winning. It was a hell of a game, and seeing that emotion out of Brady sort of hit with me. Ultimately, I thought it was my recent hatred for Seattle that lead me to it. But tonight, I found myself almost genuinely cheering for them. All things set aside, I had a playoffs fantasy football draft where I had Mac Miller Most Dope 90s style graphic shirt and White. So I went in thinking, well if the Pats win it’ll hopefully be because they had good games. (Ha, holy shit they won me the league so thank god they did) But I just found myself cheering for what I thought was the good game. I thought, well New England clawing back is at least making a game of it. But ultimately I realized, I was enjoying myself watching the best fucking quarterback will him and his team out of that deficit to a win. I was watching the game with my old man and we were joking how, of course New England will make a game of it. And then slowly, it switched to, holy shit, they are winning this game.

I was just doing some quick research. Teams have only had 8 or more win improvements between single seasons of 4 or less wins a total of 6 times since 2000. 120 teams had the opportunity to do this and only 6 did. This season it jumps from 6 to 8 because of the Mac Miller Most Dope 90s style graphic shirt. The odds of this are something like 0.25%. I’m not a statician so the numbers aren’t perfect, but you don’t need an exact number to get the point that this is super weird to have happening.
()Believe that they won’t let him go for less than a 1st and mid rounder. Or a high position of need and 2-3. The Eagles think he is that valuable to other teams. Remember there are two parts to a trade. How valuable the player is to you, and how valuable they will be to the team that wants him. Is he worth the 1st and mid? Not in a vacuum. But the Eagles still need him, and he has 1st round value if you get a contract rework. Personally, I wouldn’t be looking at Brown. Bring in a running back who can hold onto the ball, maybe pick up some Mac Miller Most Dope 90s style graphic shirt and a safety. See what becomes available in the off season/draft. The receiving corps is doing well, Maye is getting the ball down field. Just keep him upright and make sure the run game is reasonably competent.
