Inside Scoop NBA Exec Reveals Game Changing Bulls Trade Update

Bulls Standing Firm on Coby White Despite Trade Buzz

The Chicago Bulls already made one blockbuster move last season when they shipped Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings. Now, rumors are swirling about whether another scoring guard could be on the move before the 2025–26 season tips off.

Coby White’s name has floated in offseason speculation as he enters the final year of his contract, but according to league insiders, Chicago isn’t eager to part ways. An NBA executive told Dallas Hoops Journal that “multiple teams tried to trade for Coby this summer,” including chatter of a possible draft-night deal. Still, the Bulls reportedly shut down every inquiry. “They love him. He’s not going anywhere,” the exec added.

That stance makes sense given White’s breakout campaign. The 25-year-old averaged a career-high 20.4 points per game last season, adding 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds while posting impressive 45.3/37.0/90.2 shooting splits — good for a 60.1 true-shooting percentage. Once known for inconsistency, White has emerged as a reliable scorer and budding leader in Billy Donovan’s backcourt. While his defense remains a work in progress, his offensive growth, bargain $12.9 million salary for 2025–26, and upside make him invaluable to a Bulls team short on star power.

Chicago, coming off a 39–43 season with just one playoff berth since 2018, may not be ready to contend just yet. But White’s development represents a rare bright spot — and perhaps the foundation for the Bulls’ next era.
